'Electric War' by Little Barrie & Malcolm Catto is OUT NOW!

Little Barrie & Malcolm Catto–the band of singer/guitarist Barrie Cadogan and bassist Lewis Wharton, in collaboration with drummer Malcolm Catto today released their new album Electric War. The album sees the group trusting their instincts as they push themselves into unchartered musical territories. Its eight, intoxicating songs pack an unforgettable punch as it offers a unique musical melting pot of 21st century rock ’n roll, deep funk, jazz, and fuzzy atmospherics that propels their sound into exciting new directions. Including today’s standout fiery, winding new track, “‘Said Soul.”

Cadogan says, “It’s a great feeling to see Electric War getting out into the world on Easy Eye Sound. Lewis and myself really wanted to record with Malcolm again after collaborating with him on our previous album. Mal brings a lot to the table, not just with his incredible drumming but also his ideas on arrangement and production. We cut the album in a short amount of time, capturing the bulk of things live in the studio and adding a few parts after. For us that’s where the spirit of the music is. The album also features guest appearances from Mal’s Heliocentric’s bandmates Raven Bush who plays violin on 'Spektator' and Danny Keane playing cello on ‘Count Of Four.'”

The album has been earning early raves–including a 4-star MOJO review that praises its "thrilling results.” Following their recent UK Tour, Cadogan is set to join The Black Keys on their North American Tour as an additional guitarist this August and September. Click here to view the tour dates now.
