Hermanos Gutierrez have released “Barrio Hustle,” the latest preview from Sonido Cósmico. The band broaden their rhythmic palette, finding inspiration in cumbia and salsa on the upcoming Dan Auerbach-produced record. The collective result is a rare album that is inquisitive and experimental, yet centered by the spiritual connection that shines through in the brothers’ playing. Today's brand new music video, directed by Robert Schober, presents the brothers in an old school late night TV set up, highlights the brothers’ wandering guitars backdropped by shimmering foil fringe curtains and a gritty filmic quality.
The band will close out their May 2024 Tour this weekend with two nights at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY this weekend. They will resume tour dates throughout the US and Europe this July throughout the fall, making festival appearances at both Newport Folk Fest and ACL Festival.
