Ugandan-born singer-songwriter Jon Muq has shared his stunning, autobiographical new single "Flying Away From Home," today from his debut album Flying Away, out May 31. It tells the story of Muq’s life thus far, chasing sound from a young age and his Odyssean journey from Kampala, Uganda to Austin, TX. Muq's passion for music took him from singing on the streets of Mutungo (a village near Kampala), to performing on a Norwegian Cruise Line, to becoming ingrained in the local Austin music scene and catching the attention of Dan Auerbach. Jon says, “I never expected it to work this way. I never said, I’m going to get a job at a hotel. I’m going to get a job on a cruise line. I’m going to work with Dan Auerbach.
