Listen to "Danza de Los Saguaros" by The Animeros

The Animeros have released their new Dan Auerbach-produced song "Danza de Los Saguaros" today alongside a brand new music video directed by Robert Schober. The track appears as the B-side to the previously released "Ponchote de Ritmo" on the limited edition 7" vinyl available for pre-order now.  Nick Tozzo (drummer/percussionist) says about the new track, "Our music is heavily inspired by the classic cumbia anthems and the American Southwest. 'Danza de Los Saguaros' is a distillation of those two influences, and our tribute to these two great gifts that have brought us so much joy." 

The Animeros craft a genre-blending sound that drifts between the lush jungles of Colombia, the palm-lined streets of 1960s coastal Mexico, and the dusty cantinas of West Texas. Based in Austin, TX, the band will perform at The Continental Club this Friday, January 9th before beginning their month long residency at C-Boy's Heart and Soul in February. Click here to learn more about the band's upcoming shows.
