Hermanos Gutiérrez released "Low Sun" today, the second single from their forthcoming album Sonido Cósmico. With its bold percussion — much more prominent than on previous Hermanos Gutiérrez records — “Low Sun” captures a darker, more eerie tension between the brother’s two guitars. Directed by frequent collaborator, Robert “Roboshobo” Schober (The Arcs, Jon Muq), the visuals for “Low Sun” reflect the “hallucinogenic energy” of their music (Rolling Stone), presenting a strange group drifting through different stages of consciousness, attempting to connect with a sort of inner power.
The track arrives right alongside their run at SXSW this week, including opening for The Black Keys at Easy Eye Sound's Official Stubb's Showcase. The band will make their Big Ears debut next week before hitting the road with Khruangbin and making their highly anticipated appearance in the desert at Coachella. The new track "Low Sun" is coming soon on 7" vinyl along with the previously released "Los Chicos Tristes" (El Michels Affair Remix feat. Jensine Benitez). Pre-order yours now available May 3rd!
